ASBESTOS UPDATE: Markel Records $10Mil Loss Reserves at Sept. 30

Markel Corporation says the underwriting loss for both the quarter and nine months ended Sept. 30, 2009 included US$10 million of loss reserve development on asbestos and environmental exposures compared to US$24.9 million in both periods of 2008.
