Assistant U.S. Attorney Melanie Pierson, on Oct. 6, 2009, dropped criminal charges against San Diego Gas & Electric Co. in a case alleging the Company violated safety standards while removing asbestos from a Lemon Grove, Calif., site, The Union-Tribune reports.
